WINE SHOP & REFRESHMENT HOUSE

 ABOUT US

Opening Hours: Mon - closed, Tues-Thurs 11am - 7pm, Fri-Sat 11am - 9pm Sun - closed.

The Winery is a wine shop and refreshment house recently opened in Navan, Ireland. Set up by friends and experienced wine importers, Laurent Caubet and Jean Baptiste Letinois, our goal is simple, we want to offer delicious wine that's great value.

We have spent the last 15 years building relationships with some of the most talented winemakers across Europe. Working directly with them allows us to cut out the middleman. We can then pass on those savings to you, so you can enjoy fantastic wine at a great price.

JEAN BAPTISTE LETINOIS

Co-Owner

Born in Paris, Jean-Baptiste trained as a Sommelier at the famous Tain l’Hermitage School in France. He worked for many of the top restaurants in France, before moving to Ireland in 2005, where he worked as sommelier at Bon Appétit Restaurant and Résidence private members club in Dublin. In 2013 he joined Caubet Wines, supplying wine to some of the best restaurants in Ireland.

JB now lives in Navan with his wife and young son. He is passionate about wine, but he is also one of the most down to earth and fun people you could meet. So why not pop in to the shop and let JB introduce you to some of the best wines you've ever tasted, including some of his favourites from the Rhône Valley.

LAURENT CAUBET

Co-Owner

Laurent Caubet is from the South West of France, where his interest in wine production led him to study agronomics. His passion for wine has seen him travel the world, from working in a vinyard in New Zealand to moving to Ireland in 2003 and going into wholesale wine distribution. He later became the wine buyer and sommelier for the well known Peploes Wine Bistro in Dublin. In 2006, he was invited to work for Tony Ryan as a wine consultant in The Village at Lyons.

In 2007, Laurent set up Caubet Wines, a wholesale wine importer, specialising in wines from small vineyards in France and Italy. He began working with some of the industry’s most celebrated winemakers as well as many of its rising stars. And now at The Winery, you can discover their outstanding wines.
