THE Winery at Astna Square, Clonakilty is the perfect ‘get
away from it all’ spot. The venue specialises in wines with an interesting
wine list at impressive prices. But step through the doors and you’ll
quickly find out there’s so much more to The Winery then the name
suggests.
Relax by either of the two cosy fires with a morning coffee
and the newspaper or treat yourself to a hot chocolate and pastry; linger
over lunch with friends at the child friendly venue; sit back with your
book or lap top (free Wi-Fi) in the afternoon or wind down after a day’s
work at the central location.
Regardless of the time of day you drop in you’ll always be
assured of good conversation and a great atmosphere; and for those on
a schedule there’s a take out menu. Coffees are served all day in keeping
with the bar’s continental vibe making it popular with designated drivers;
along with beers, spirits and cocktails.
Tapas - a selection of tasty appetisers are served nights
as a recession friendly alternative to a full meal out.
Regardless of what takes your fancy, the emphasis is always
on value with ‘Wines of the Week,’ a coffee loyalty card and a free tapas
when you order a glass of wine/cava from 5-7pm on Fridays.
